Site Engineering
Site Layout
Using our own survey crew whenever and wherever
possible, we prefer to space our own site development work.
We believe the coordination of our work with that of our subcontractors
can be delivered in a mutually supportive environment, which
lends itself to greater efficiency for the entire
site preperation team. Our site survey crew is experienced
and uses the latest technology. They are a radio call
away should a site problem arise unexpectedly.
GPS Control
The System 500 GPS technology from Leica Geosystems provides
the highest accuracy and best tracking performance available
on the market. The GradeStar GPS solution provides accuracy
of ± 0.10 feet (± 3 cm) in height for rough
grading. Special benefits of the GPS solution include:
- Work from one base station.
- Ability to control several machines simultaneously.
- Long range control - up to six miles.
- Unconstrained by line of sight.

TPS control for the highest accuracy and special conditions
Automatic Total Station control with the GradeStar software
provides system accuracy up to ± 0.02 feet (±
5 mm) in height and ± 0.04 feet (± 10 mm) for
position. The GradeStar for fine grading solution uses the
Leica Geosystems automatic robotic total station series TPS1100.
Special benefits of the TPS solution:
- Highest accuracy in its class.
- Works in tunnels, under overpasses and other areas where obstructions could impede GPS** signals.
- The total station can be used for any other surveying work on site, without modification.
