Awarded the contract by its general contractor client, J.E. Liesfeld Contractor, Inc. undertook this unusual project to provide and place large granite boulders throughout the site.

This project served two essential functions: cosmetic and security. The boulder placement afforded the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond a pleasant and appealing landscape design while simultaneously enhancing the facility’s security by denying access to the site except where access is intended.

The work was delivered under difficult downtown traffic conditions and limited working spaces.
